Côte d'Ivoire — from insight to implementation

Over multiple visits across Côte d'Ivoire, we moved beyond assumptions and built a practical understanding of local healthcare realities. Conversations with providers, employers, and community leaders revealed where demand is strongest and where scalable solutions can create lasting impact.

Today, our work is focused on turning those insights into action through partnerships, workshops, and long-term collaborations designed to deliver sustainable healthcare infrastructure.

Transformation does not happen through plans alone. It is built through partnerships, practical execution, and healthcare solutions designed to last.

Four cities, one pattern

Our Nigeria discovery tour took us across four very different places — and everywhere we went, the same story kept surfacing.

We set out to understand demand the only way that's reliable: in person. From the policy corridors of the capital to the coast, into the highlands, and finally the commercial engine of the country — each stop had its own character, constraints, and opening.

Across every location, the same themes emerged: strong demand for trusted private care, real distance between patients and specialists, and healthcare professionals ready to embrace new models of care.

Planning diagnostics from the ground up

In Addis Ababa, we visited the site designated for a future medical imaging center and worked alongside local stakeholders to plan its development, including advanced molecular imaging capabilities and a future cyclotron facility.

Rather than studying an existing operation, we focused on designing one from the beginning. The discussions centered on workflow, infrastructure requirements, equipment strategy, and how advanced diagnostics could be introduced in a way that is technically sound and economically sustainable. The project highlighted the growing demand for high-quality imaging services and the importance of long-term planning.

The visit confirmed Addis Ababa as a long-term opportunity: a growing healthcare market with the ambition to develop advanced diagnostic capabilities and establish a foundation for advanced molecular imaging capabilities.

Where the partnerships began

Lean healthcare infrastructure depends on trusted manufacturing and technology partners. Through multiple visits to China, we sought out organizations capable of delivering the quality, scalability, and reliability required for future healthcare networks.

Rather than selecting suppliers from catalogues alone, we visited production facilities, reviewed manufacturing processes, and evaluated whether quality and cost could support the realities of African healthcare markets. Those visits resulted in long-term relationships that now underpin our supply chain.
